Hawaii....

was great!! I must have been having so much fun I didn't have time to blog. :-) Can't believe it's been a year ago!!

Blogspot and Blackberry do not get along and I was usually blogging from my phone, especially while traveling. So no blogs about my cool trip to Chicago last summer with Amy and Carrie, two of the best friends a girl could have (I mean it Amy, not just saying it because you are the only one that reads my blog!!)! ;-)

You've also missed out on any blogs involving Charlotte (Carrie and Dan's baby)! So many pictures, so little time...

Next trip is Florida for my cousin Laura's wedding...stay tuned maybe I'll blog again before next year!

Facebook

I don't like Facebook photos...it might be because i have dial-up. It takes forever to upload pictures...if I can even get it to load the photo page!!! Oh well, I guess no one will ever see Savannah pictures.

I can't believe it is already 9:30pm. I loose track of time on the Internet! I should be balancing my checkbook, wrapping Ren's baptism gift, or sleeping. Instead I'm researching phones, uploading pictures to dress up my blog, checking email, and listening to music. Oh well, tomorrow is another day!

Only 27 days till Hawaii!!!! Aloha!

POP Sunday

Well, nothing too exciting today. Working in POP...doing a lot of phone number lookups and transfers. Circ sounds like they're having fun...heard music? and laughter (dm) earlier. I'm just jealous, Kathy and I don't want to be here...it looks nice outside! Home and Garden show is going on at the Knight Center. I'm so pathetic that the highlight of my Sunday is that one of the regular patrons (with major issues) said I "did good" while I was answering his reference question (which consisted of looking up the tv schedule that he had in front of him; wanted me to give him more information...like read to him the tv episode summary). Last time he said I was "lazy", hence why I was happy that this time I got a "did good". :-) To defend myself, I was trying to cut the conversation short last time, because the tv show that he was asking the summary of scares him so I was trying to avoid describing the shows to him...public libraries you gotta love them!

Oh...I guess the music was a recital going on in the auditorium...maybe circ isn't having any fun either today! :-(

Chicken Soup moment

While I was walking @ lunch earlier this week I saw a serviceman in military fatigues and it reminded me of a Chicken Soup (book reference) moment I had a few months ago. Mom and I were driving to Toledo for my cousins' baptisms and we stopped at a turnpike rest stop to go to Panera's (I love turnpike restops...much more fun than they used to be!). There were 2 servicemen in line and my mom started to approach them and the cashier even though we had already paid. I wasn't sure what she was doing as she took out money from her wallet. Here she was going to pay for their meals. I hadn't ever thought of doing this (or heard of anyone else doing it)...but leave it to my mom to think of it (she's one of the kindest people you will ever meet). But before she could complete her random act of kindness, some other kind soul had already paid the the servicemen's meals. Moments like these make me happy and sad @ the same time...sad because I tear up and happy to know that kind people still exist in the world. Oh and also proud to be an American where people appreciate the miltary and the sacrifices they make for our country's safety.
